Kawasaki Heavy Industries Visits Miaoli: Porite Taiwan Joins Taiwan-Japan Industry Exchange on Smart Manufacturing and Future Technologies

Kawasaki Heavy Industries Visits Miaoli: Porite Taiwan Joins Taiwan-Japan Industry Exchange on Smart Manufacturing and Future Technologies

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. (KHI) Chairman Yoshinori Kanehana and Taiwan Branch General Manager Hiroki Kato visited the Miaoli County Government on September 2, meeting with Miaoli County Magistrate Dong-Chin Chung and representatives of local industries. Porite Taiwan was also invited to participate in the industry exchange, joining KHI and leading companies from Miaoli to discuss opportunities in smart manufacturing, robotics, hydrogen energy, advanced energy technologies, and supply chain collaboration.

Facilitated by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the exchange brought together representative companies from Miaoli’s semiconductor, electronics, petrochemical, automotive, machinery, and precision manufacturing sectors, highlighting the county’s strong and diverse industrial ecosystem.

As a key precision manufacturing company in Miaoli, Porite Taiwan has long been dedicated to powder metallurgy and metal component manufacturing, while continuously investing in automation, smart manufacturing, and advanced process technologies. The exchange provided an excellent opportunity for Porite Taiwan to engage with a leading Japanese industrial company and gain further insights into the development of smart manufacturing and next-generation technologies.

The visit also builds on the dialogue initiated during Miaoli County’s delegation visit to Japan in April, when discussions with Kawasaki Heavy Industries focused on hydrogen energy, energy equipment, robotics, and smart manufacturing. The continued exchange between Japan and Taiwan represents an important step toward exploring potential collaboration in technology, manufacturing, and supply chain development.

As the automotive industry continues to evolve toward electrification and intelligent mobility, while robotics and advanced manufacturing technologies accelerate, Porite Taiwan will continue to leverage its expertise in powder metallurgy to develop high-precision, high-strength, and high-volume manufacturing solutions for emerging applications.

Porite Taiwan is honored to be part of this Taiwan-Japan industry exchange and looks forward to building stronger connections with global companies, industry partners, and research institutions. Through technology innovation and smart manufacturing, Porite Taiwan aims to create new opportunities for Taiwan manufacturing and strengthen its role in the global supply chain.
