Manufacturing of Micro Bearings

From its inception, Porite Taiwan focused on supplying bearings specifically for electric fans and sewing machines. Over time, the company has continuously expanded its equipment and market reach, now serving major domestic and international manufacturers in the electric motor, power tool, and automotive industries.

The manufacturing of micro bearings falls within the traditional powder metallurgy process. Using low-tonnage compaction machines, parts are rapidly and consistently produced. These parts then undergo continuous sintering to harden them, followed by sizing and shaping processes. The most critical step is oil impregnation or vacuum oil impregnation, where the porous structure of the bearings allows oil to penetrate thoroughly. The bearings are then centrifuged to ensure the surface is not overly oily, which won’t affect assembly.

To swiftly supply stable bearing products to users, Porite Taiwan established a dedicated micro bearing production facility in 1998 in Toufen, Miaoli County, covering an area of 3,400 square meters. Today, the monthly production capacity of the micro bearing production line can reach 200 million units.

Due to the thorough oil impregnation process, Porite Taiwan's bearing parts can continuously release oil to provide lubrication during motor operation. This makes them crucial components in motors, and they are widely used in automotive ETC/EPB systems, sunroof and window adjusters, cooling fans, household appliances, various automatic doors, and 3C products. Porite Taiwan’s bearings have even been used in iPhones.
