Conflict Minerals Statement

Conflict minerals refer to metals such as Gold (Au), Tantalum (Ta), Tungsten (W), Tin (Sn), Cobalt (Co), and Mica, which are sourced from mining areas controlled by non-governmental armed groups or illegal military factions in conflict regions of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The profits from illegal mining activities fund these groups, who exploit local citizens and cause human rights violations and environmental degradation in eastern DRC. According to the RBA (Responsible Business Alliance), some metal resources have become the primary financial source for armed rebel groups in the DRC, enabling arms trading and perpetuating violent conflicts with the government while devastating local communities. This has sparked widespread international controversy.
In line with corporate social responsibility, environmental protection, and respect for international human rights, Porite Taiwan declares that it does not support or use so-called "conflict minerals." We remain committed to addressing this issue and hereby state that all products provided to our customers are free of conflict metals. We pledge:
- Not to purchase conflict minerals extracted from conflict regions.
- To require our suppliers to reject the use of conflict minerals and sign a commitment to not use conflict minerals.
- To ensure our suppliers manage their upstream and downstream supply chains to comply with conflict-free mineral requirements.
- To make every effort to trace the sources of materials and reject the use of conflict minerals from conflict regions.
